There is a significant body of peer-reviewed medical research that is indicating that not “being grounded” (by not touching the ground with our bare feet, for example), we are in fact causing ourselves to be in a stress situation ALL the time.  We didn’t know this until now.  This is brand new discovery.

Now, let’s say we are dealing with viral conditions, there are all
sorts of things we can do to help fortify our body against viral
conditions.  Now we know the power of vitamin C, we learnt that back in the early 1970’s, but we’re no longer on the old idea of the Ascorbic Acid form of Vitamin C, we’ve moved on to the vitamin C botanicals that are powdered superfoods that contain high quantities of vitamin C.

That would include things like amla berry, camu berry, acerola cherry.  These are things that we can add into our diet to fortify our immune systems.

Another thing that has a very powerful effect against viruses is aged garlic extract. The herpes family of viruses, which we know are affecting around 80% or more of the population, have been, to some degree, attributable to these panic attacks and anxiety.  The biggest weakness that a virus has, is garlic.  So you can use aged garlic extract to help ramp up your immune system.

Another thing we can do to fortify our immune systems in this way and to help viruses from overpopulating themselves in our body is to bring in the medicinal mushrooms.

These are originally mushrooms that grow on trees - Reishi mushrooms, Maitake mushroom, Shiitake mushroom, Agaricus mushroom, and Coriolus (or cloud) mushroom.

How Often Should You Drink Kombucha Teas?

Kombucha is a combination of bacterial organisms and fungal organisms that grow symbiotically on a liquid medium that contains a high amount of caffeine and a high amount of sugar -  that’s what it eats, the sugar.

Kombucha TeaThese drinks are available in most health food stores and can be flavored in different ways.  They are sold as Kombucha tea drinks.

One of the problems with the conventional drink world is that in order to have a safe product on the shelf, you cannot let the organisms become fully ripe, and therefore what happens is that a lot of these Kombucha teas have too much caffeine and too many sugars still present in the beverage.

Therefore David Wolfe recommends that we be very moderate with our intake of Kombucha -  3 or 4 Kombucha teas a week is a good start for most people.

If you have never heard of Kombucha and you are drinking soda pop as your regular beverage, then you are much better off drinking store-bought Kombucha tea as an alternative - it’s a step in the right direction.  However, nothing replaces the homemade kind of the tea.

Let’s say that you have low hydrochoric acid in your stomach and you feel the need to drink Kombucha at lunchtime, after your meal, (which is very common), that’s okay, because it’s the acids in Kombucha that will actually help you digest your food.

However, if we happen to let the Kombucha ripen properly, let’s say we grow it ourselves, then what you’re going to want to do is let that organ ripen completely.  As it eats up all the sugar it loses the sweetness, the vinegar taste is a little greater, but will have a much more medicinal value.  Only then can we say that this a product that is rich in B vitamins and all the good acids that help our liver detoxify substances that are not water soluable.

So, if you are buying it from a store, then try to drink no more than 3 or 4 Kombucha drinks a week. However, if you are making it yourself, then you want to make sure that it becomes fully ripened, only then you will get the full medicinal value.

How To Make Kombucha TeaIf you decide to make your own, then make sure you purchase a healthy Kombuca to start with.  These can be obtained from health food stores, or you can put an ad in your local paper, if you don’t know anyone with a “mother” plant.  Then follow a Kombucha tea recipe and make sure you know how to keep your kombucha healthy.

David Wolfe’s Candida Cure

Candida is the result of a fungal overgrowth in our body - but also can be a result of some immune system problems and some digestive problems.

Actually, Candida usually manifests itself as some very strong digestive disturbances, especially when we

The third one is Horsetail - this is a very powerful anti-fungal herb and can also be made into a delicious tea.  Horsetail is also very good for your bones, in fact, it’s probably the best herb in the world for your bones.  It’s a herb that grows near rivers and streams.  So start taking these teas all day long, some of each would be great.
  4. We know that Candida’s natural enemy is Acidophilus, and we are so fortunate in the western world as we have access to the greatest amount of friendly bacteria products that have ever been offered to the world, ever.  You can find them in your local health food stores.
  5. Reishi mushroom - It is called a “noble mushroom” and it’spropensity is to be able to secrete chemicals that kill off the lower forms of the fungal kingdom, like Candida.  So it is a very important tool against Candida.

The Importance Of Grounding Yourself Using David Wolfe’s Grounding Technologies

What Does Grounding Technology Do?

First of all, what does “being grounded” mean?

Being grounded means being electrically connected to the earth.

barefoot technologyMost of us is not aware that the earth is mobilised with free anti-oxidant electrons.  Those electrons pour into our body at the speed of light, the minute we touch the earth barefoot.

This discovery was made during the telegraph days when they were first putting telegraph wires into the earth and they found out that the earth was completely covered by electrons that were negatively charged and that prevented oxidation.

When we are disconnected from that natural negative charge then we are more subject to oxidation and we develop more inflammatory problems.

A group of scientists and a team of doctors have been looking at every biological marker known to man, the major ones in medicine - they include cortisol levels, bilirubin levels, heart rate levels, heart rate variability, respiration levels, white blood cell levels etc. - then they tried determining if there is a difference between being grounded (meaning standing directly on the earth barefoot or touching the earth someway with our bare skin) and not being grounded (meaning wearing rubber soled sneakers, or something).  The answer is yes.  There is a massive difference in ALL biological markers between being grounded and being ungrounded.

This has got to be the most significant descovery in health in the last 10 years.  This is perhaps the most significant discovery in health, period.  What it is indicating is that the assumption that it’s okay to wear shoes all the time, the assumption that it’s okay to walk in houses that are carpeted, that are insulated with linoleum, that are insulated with dry wood floors, is just an assumption, it is not upheld by the scientific research.

grounding technologyThe earth itself is negatively charged and the atmosphere around us is positively charged.  Most of the conditions that we know of today, whatever that condition is, is associated with having an excess of positive charge in our body.  What that really means is a lack of electrons.

When we have an excess positive charge, there is too much oxidation, there’s free radical damage and there’s a stealing of electrons.  That means we lack electrons when we are oxidised.

By being insulated from the earth through the rubber soles of our shoes, what ends up happening is that we become more subject to free radical damage and we age faster.

So what can we do to stop it?

The more that you can be connected, directly via the skin, to the earth, the longer you will live and the less inflammation you will suffer from.  One minute is better than zero minutes.  15 minutes is better than nothing, an hour is better than 15 minutes, 5 hours is better than 1 hour, 10 hours is better than 5 hours etc.  You get the idea, the more you can be grounded, the better.

When we are touching the ground we are actually grounded, but it has to be an electrical connection to the earth. If you know anything about electricity you will know that electricity does not conduct through certain mediums, like rubber, and rubber stops the electrical impulses coming up through the earth.

This entire idea of the way we have developed shoes, and the advance of shoe technology since at least the 1960’s, has had a catastrophic effect on the human physiology and a catastrophic effect on our health, and it appears, based on the latest research, to be the fundamental cause of advanced chronic inflammation.

This discovery is so profound.

There has been quite a lot of research done on athletes, and what they have found is that the best athletes in the world are surfers.  Whenever you are in a body of water, like the ocean, you are instantly grounded.

grounded by oceanMaybe you’ve found out for yourself this effect.  Maybe sometime when you’ve had a lot of emotional turmoil going on, or a bunch of erratic thoughts going on, and suddenly you’ve jumped in the ocean and boom, it’s all gone.  That’s grounding.  Whenever we jump into a body of water, like a river or a stream or a lake, the same thing happens, we are instantly grounded.

If we walk barefoot on sand, we’re instantly grounded.  When someone goes to the beach and they lay out their towels and lie on the beach, they usually feel like falling asleep.  This is because the grounding effect changes our respiration rate and immediately detoxifies us and normalises our pH, making us relax.  The effects of body pH’s by being grounded is substantial.  It normalises our pH.

If you are unaware what pH means, it is the acid/alkaline balance.  Hyperacidity has been associated with a number of disorders.  Hyperacidity IMPROVES, meaning alkalinity is restored once we begin to ground ourselves.

If you walk barefoot on the soil, if you walk barefoot in the rain, if you walk barefoot on the sand, walk barefoot through puddles etc., you are grounded.  Some cement is grounded, but some isn’t, this is because of the polymers in new cement and that may be acting as an insulator, but in general, especially old cement is grounded.  It is conducting energies through itself from the inner earth, up into you.  Once again, these energies are free mobile anti-oxidant electrons that help your body resist oxidation, keeping you younger.

If you touch a tree, you are grounded, because the tree is a living wood, it has electrolytes and water in it and therefore it is
conducting electricity and yes it can make you grounded.  If you touch a metal pole that is stuck in the earth, you are grounded.

These are effects that you begin to notice and they have important side effects and that is they can actually protect you from free radical damage as already mentioned AND excessive EMF exposure.  They drop the EMF field that is hitting your body, when you are grounded.  When you are grounded, you are more resistant to EMF fields, because the EMF hits you and goes right into the ground.

The earth itself is an infinite reservoir for EMF fields, that’s why
it’s called “ground”.  The earth can absorb an infinite amount of EMF.  If we are in a rubber soled shoe, and we’re on a cell phone, we are oxidizing ourselves and damaging ourselves with very high frequency EMF’s.  But if we’re on our cell phone and we are barefoot, we are not completely protected, but we are DRAMATICALLY more protected.  That’s important to understand.

It is believed that a huge body of our neurological disturbances are caused by being isolated from the earth’s EMF field, from being ungrounded and wearing rubber soles.

david wolfe and grounding technologyThe rubber sole, because it isolates us from the earth, actually may be the cause of our philosophical lonliness - once we get our shoes off and connect back with the earth as much as possible, whether it’s just 5 minutes a day in the park, or just walking on the grass, or walking on the beach every day, or going swimming in a lake or ocean.

The more you are grounded, the better you will feel, and very likely the longer you will live, based on the research, and the lower your inflammation and pain will be.

Pain, of the chronic sort, is associated with excess POSITIVE charge. The earth, again, is NEGATIVELY charged.  When we stand on it barefoot we absorb that negative charge, and it immediately begins to wash away the positive charge.  It starts to add electrons to that positive charge and within 50 minutes our pain can dissipate.  What a dramatic discovery.

Being grounded immediately alters our pulse rate, our respiratory rate, blood oxygenation, changes our skin to conductants within 40 minutes.  Improvements are seen all over those areas.

Most of us like to spend our vacation time on the beach for a reason and the reason is because we are reconnecting back to the earth itself.

Our direct skin connection to the earth is one of the most important “foods” that we can take in.  It may be more important than food.  Because if we get far enough away from the earth’s EMF field, up in outer space, we immediately start demineralising.  Research now is indicating that connection to the earth helps re-mineralise.

Problems with mineralisation, problems with bones, with teeth, are related to not being grounded.

When you want to elecroplate a substance, for example you want to put copper onto another metal, you want to electroplate it, you have to remove electrons so that they stick together, so that the 2 metals SHARE electrons.  That’s kind of what happens when we become oxidozed - we no longer have ENOUGH electrons and therefore our tissues have to share electrons and then we become easily oxidized.

Our teeth, if they lack electrons, will then begin to share electrons with plaque and the plaque electroplates itself to our teeth.  Immediate improvements have been seen with dental health, simply by being grounded.

The earth itself is a reference point for all circadian rhythms in our body. For example, when we get in a car, the car is not grounded - it is on rubber tyres, so it is not connected to the earth and hence we are ungrounded.  We drive to some other location and we get out of the car, well there’s a little bit of a jet lag even from driving around in a car.  If we stand barefoot for 15 minutes wherever we have arrived, we re-calibrate to the circadian rhythms of the earth where we are and the jetlag goes away.

A similar phenomenon has been noted when you fly an aeroplane.  If you get out of the aeroplane and take off your shoes and your socks and you directly connect your skin to the earth, within 15 minutes you can dissipate the EMF fields you have picked up, the radiation you have picked up, from being up in the upper atmosphere, (you are in a giant metal cylinder that’s attracting gamma rays and UV radiation - we can get 10 to 100 times the radiation up there than we do down here)and
you come back into the electrical potential if the earth and you
absorb frequencies out of the earth that tells your body where you are and what’s going on.

The circadian rhythm piece of this puzzle is profound because it
affects cortisol levels - this has been proven, it has been scientifically and medically documented.  Within 8 weeks of being
grounded, cortisol levels are improved.  The ryhthm of cortisol in the body is improved.  Disturbances in cortisol levels are eradicated.

The same can be said with hormone levels.  Erratic fluctuations in hormone levels.  This is because these 2 things respond to circadian rhythms.  Circadian rhythms being biological clocks, rhythms that we have inside ourselves.  When we are in rubber soled shoes, when we are ungrounded, our body has no ability to access the referenced circadian rhythms, the frequencies that are coming out of the earth.  Our body attunes to those like Greenwich Mean Time, it’s kind of like a clock on the wall, it goes out of balance after a while, it goes a bit faster or a bit slower and every now and then we have to actually bring it back to the Greenwich Mean Time, so we know exactly what time it is.

When we’re dealing with going back onto the earth, that’s really
what’s happening.  Our body resets itself.  Make sure you take the time this summer to do that.  Get reset by getting grounded.  Get barefoot and get your hands into the earth.  Get to the beach, get in the ocean or jump in a lake, and immediately you will notice these benefits.

How To Attain Discipline For Health - The Longevity Now Way

David Wolfe’s View On The Link Between Discipline And Our Health

One of the most important things about discipline is that you have to be able to get yourself to take action.  That’s where it all starts.  Ultimately, you brush your teeth every day, you know how to start and drive your car, you know how to put gas in the car - these are all disciplines, these are things you are doing every day.  You know how to go out and buy food, you know how to use your credit card, these are disciplines, actions you are taking every day.

When it comes to discipline, it’s about that initial drive and striving to take the action.

David Wolfe believes that each one of us is endowed a very specific ability to “do” what we can do and to “not do” what we can’t do.  We should focus on what is that we CAN do and we should avoid the things that we CAN’T do.  Another way of saying this, is that we should focus on our strengths, and we should get off our weaknesses.

If you find that everything is OK when you are at home, but as soon as you go to work and you become susceptible to this and that and other kinds of things, then you need to start looking at this particular question… “How can I move away from that suggestive environment and get it home where I can actually get things done, and I’m not influenced and I can actually take action on those things that are good and healthy for me”.

This is working with our strengths and avoiding our weaknesses.  Don’t waste your time spending years working on your weaknesses, concentrate on your strengths and give them all your attention.

Everybody, at some level suffers from a lack of discipline, maybe you go to bed sometimes without brushing your teeth - that’s an example of a lack of discipline. But David Wolfe knows what creates him is CONSISTENCY- he knows that if he misses a day, he’ll be right back on top of it.  He knows that if he misses 2 days, he’ll be right back on top of it 2 days later, and if he misses a week, he’ll be right back on top of it a week later.  The consistency is the key.  As soon as it’s in your mind, then boom, you just take the action.  Our consistent actions is what makes us, and creates us.

You DO have the discipline, you just don’t realise it.  When you
focus oh your strengths, you have discipline.  Another discilpline you have is locking the door to your house, you do it every day.  A discipline is a little small action, but over a long period of time it has results.

This is where health is, by the way.  We don’t have to take on a whole 5 hour program, plus this and that and the other thing, mixed in different combinations, counting calories,  wondering what supplements are bad for us and what are not, or how to do the exact amount of exercise to burn such and such amount of calories etc., etc. etc.

That stuff is designed to confuse us and complexify something that is totally simple.

Health is simple, illness is complex.  It’s much easier being preventative, doing just a few simple actions each and every day is all that’s needed.  And what a difference that will have in the stress level as well!  All you have to do are simple, healthy,  consistent things every day.

We know that knowledge is power, but really it is only POTENTIAL power.  It’s when you act that that knowledge becomes something physical.

We can  educate ourselves in the field of health sciences today in a way that was never possible before, thanks to the internet.  And when we ACT, then that’s as soon as it happens.  The key is to “do it NOW!”.  Otherwise, if you continue as you are you could feel the guilt, the blame and all those other negative emotions that come about from avoiding the inevitable, which is just getting it done immediately.

There’s a conflict somewhere out there in the general mindset where some people feel that they don’t want any part of discipline because they just want to “feel free” to do whatever they want.  But in fact, discipline actually CREATES freedom.  It’s through the disciplines that you practice every day, these very simple little things that you do every day, like a ritual, that creates freedom in your life.

Overtime, with these little disciplines, you can start stacking them on top of each other and what happens is that you get more done with lesseffort and in less time, which gives you more freedom!  That’s what we all want.  Discipline CREATES freedom.

Where our attention is going, our energy will soon be flowing.  If we can keep ourselves directed, and on point, what happens is that pretty soon our actions will follow.  That’s the key piece.

Every day we’re out in the world, obviously being met by distractions at work, at the local store, while driving our cars, and while watching TV.  We need discipline to help us avoid these unhealthy distractions.

As you start putting these disciplines together, you create MOMENTUM. That’s the key word. The reason you brush your teeth every morning is because you have momentum - you have maybe 10,000 days behind you when you have brushed your teeth, and guess what’s going to happen today, you’re going to brush your teeth again!

That momentum has an affect where it forces us into action.

We don’t know for sure what the outcome of all the chemicals we have created. But we’re pretty sure it’s not going to be good. Cancer rates are up to almost 50% of what’s killing people, and we suspect at this point that this has something to do with spraying food with chemicals, using artificial fertilizers and all the chemicals that surround us. So if we can just start baseline with some raw organic foods, then we will be on the right path. Just by adding some of these “superfoods” into your diet will make all the difference. You don’t need to REMOVE anything from your diet, no denial, no hardship, just add something good to your daily diet and start there. Just add it in in a way that works for you.

In doing this, it helps us adapt to the stresses that we are all experiencing, it helps to activate our imagination and creativity, and it helps us get into a state of SUFFICIENCY inside ourselves so that we’re not in an enzyme bankruptcy or a mineral bankruptcy, so that we are in an enzyme and mineral abundancy, and very likely if we are there, then on the outside we are also going to create that abundance.

There is also a link between calcification and cancer. For example with breast cancer, the hard aspect of the tumor is actually some kind of mineral substrate that is present there and it is actually so painful when you start trying to move it around, it feels like glass crystals are breaking up. What the Longevity Now System can do is bring you tools to help you break down the calcification, because what that stuff is, the hard crystalline material that is shelling around the tumor, is actually calcium. What we are now realizing is that what we need to do to heal ourselves and to get where we need to go is to understand what calcium is and how to get the bad calcium out of our diet. This fundamental idea in the Longevity Now program is what’s bringing the magic. He says it’s very important to STOP taking calcium supplements and instead START taking silica supplements. Silica supplements, magnesium, chocolate - these things are trans-mutated into calcium in our body. David Wolfe believes that diets do NOT work.  He wants to clarify this for people and hence help them get out of the diet battle - The “don’t do this, do this!”and “This is bad, that’s good” and other dilemas like these.  He says “The diet game is a losing game, because it is against human psychology”.

People want flavour, joy, to love “Mom’s home cooking”.  They want to add something in that is good, they don’t want to be in a battle with themselves about “oh my gosh I can’t eat this” or “oh no, I ate that and now I have…”.  He doesn’t want people to feel this kind of guilt.

There’s only so much you can eat in a day, so if you start eating the good stuff, pretty soon it starts crowding out the bad stuff.  Then you naturally start moving down the line towards health, by gradually turning your diet around.”

David says that suffering cannot create health, it’s impossible.
Suffering creates misery.  If you have to suffer ” I cannot eat this, I have to eat that, but I really don’t want that, I want this!”  If you do this then you aren’t going to succeed.  But if you are guided by pleasure, by what’s enjoyable, then with a little bit of cleverness and you guide yourself reasonably you can end up one day saying “I feel the best ever”.

The primary elements of his work has been in relationship to raw food nutrition versus the cooked food nutrition.
